Ski off 10,000-foot peaks in the morning, fish for 50-pound King salmon in the afternoon. Bella Coola Heli Sports Springs & Corn program is an adventure unlike any other in Canada. Some of the wildest peaks in North America lie but an A-star flight away from the tiny village of Bella Coola, on BC’s central coast.

When you’ve tapped the beautiful (and relatively safe) spring corn skiing on the surrounding glaciers and massive faces, drop back to luxurious digs at Tweedsmuir Lodge, where the likes of Sir Edmund Hilary have spent some reflective hours. And when you’re ready to cast a fly, stroll out to world-class fishing on the Atnarko and Talchako rivers where spring salmon, rainbow trout, Dolly Vardon and steelhead lurk in crystal waters.

The Price Tag: Approximately $5,300 per person includes heli-skiing, guiding, return flight from Vancouver, BC to Bella Coola, meals and accommodation for five nights. 604-932-3000; www.bellacoolahelisports.com.
