Age: 28

Hometown:
Atlanta, Georgia

Accomplishments:
As an environmental specialist for Kimberly Clark, Bracey is responsible for compliance work that makes the company more green. In her free time, she’s a volunteer trip leader with Sierra Club Inner City Outings, a program that brings inner-city kids into the outdoors.

Why I Hike:
“I love getting out in the outdoors and getting some exercise at the same time. I see places I haven’t seen before and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.”

Keeping It Real:
“The kids are awesome. They allow me to look at things differently, as if I am seeing things for the first time. I have been so blessed to travel and experience the outdoors and just want the same for them. Taking time to hit the trail with them gives me an excuse to get outside even when I think I have more pressing things to do.”

Favorite Moment:
“We were hiking around Mount Rainier in June, and it was a clear day, which was a miracle. But up and around the peak, it was snowing and we couldn’t see the trail. Just being out there on a summer day, lost but still knowing where we were, having the sun and the view. It’s a pretty amazing place.”
